I Treasure You Card

Hello and Happy New Year! Today I want to share with you a I Treasure You Card that I made as my Design Team inspiration project for our Vilda Stamps Challenge Blog January Challenge.

For my card I used the Adorable Vilda Stamp: Pirate with Sword V208 that you can find in the Vilda Shop here: http://shop.textalk.se/en/article.php?id=16232&art=4086361

You can also find the Vilda Stamps Challenge Blog here: http://vildastampschallengeblog.blogspot.com/.

To make my card first I stamped the super cute Pirate stamp onto 110 lb. plain white card stock. Next I colored the image in with Copics, and then used a white paint pen to add my highlights. I then fussy cut the image out and set him aside while I assembled my card base.

To create my shaker card base I used the crazy stitched frame dies from CDD and layered the 2 smallest frames together to create my shaker card window. I cut the frame from plain white card stock and then used distress ink in vintage photo to make the frame look like a worn map. Then for the background of my shaker card I used a die cut of a wave as a mask. I just blended distress ink in Mermaid Lagoon over the mask and then continued this same process until I had all the waves that I desired.

Next I used a micron pen to add the map details to the top of the shaker, and then attached clear acetate to the inside of the window. After that I added foam tape around the edge of the frame and filled it with sequins. I then attached it to the back of my card and placed my pirate onto the front with foam tape for some added dimension.

To finish I added black ribbon, rhinestones, and a skull die cut for some extra embellishment. I hope that you enjoy my card and are inspired to try out your own creations with these Amazing stamps! I also hope that you will join in our challenge for your chance to win some wonderful Vilda Stamps prizes!

Hello again Everyone! I have one last Halloween Card to share with you today using two super cute stamp sets from Vilda Stamps.

and Halloween Kit 2014 V817 that you can find in the shop

vilda-owl-stamp-set

To create my card first I cut my background panel from plain white 110 lb. card stock with a die and then masked off the moon by just cutting a circle from masking paper. I then stamped the bottom hills with the tomb stones, and the bats using stamps from the Halloween Kit. Next I blended my background over the stamps with Distress ink in Ripe Persimmon and Seedless Preserves to create my Halloween night sky. Once I was happy with the blended sky, I then removed the mask on the moon and then added a black die cut tree to my scene.

Next I stamped the Adorable Sugar Bat girl, pumpkin, and Halloween Banner onto plain white card stock. After the ink was dry, I then colored all of the images in with Copic Markers. Once I was done coloring the images, I fussy cut them out, and attached them to my card base with foam tape for some added dimension. To finish my card I added some coordinating mats, ribbon, and rhinestones for some extra embellishment and interest.  Thank you so much for stopping by, and I hope that my card inspires you to try your own creations using these Amazing stamps!

Halloween Owl Card

Hello Everyone! Today I want to share with you a Halloween Owl Card that I made with an Amazing stamp set from Vilda Stamps!

To create my card I used Halloween 2014 (A6-Kit) V817 that you can find in the Vilda Stamps shop here:

vilda-owl-stamp-set

This set has so many fun images that can be combined to make some wonderful Halloween scenes. To make my card first I stamped the large tree onto 110 lb plain white card stock. Next I masked off the tree and then stamped the owl so that it looks like it is sitting on the branch. I then stamped some of the little spider webs, spiders, and bats to complete my scene.

After that I masked the tree and owl off so that I could use Distress inks to blend together for my background and not worry about accidentally coloring over the owl or tree. I first layered the brightest orange color called Ripe Persimmon at the top and then transitioned to my darkest purple color called Seedless Preserves at the bottom. I blended both colors together using a foam makeup applicator for a smooth blend. Once I was done with my background I then removed the masks and used Copic markers to color the owl and tree. I wanted to try something fun and different for the owl so I decided to color him in green tones to contrast the purple witch hat. I love how by just using a different color combination you can create a completely different mood for your card.  To finish my card I added flowers, rhinestones, and the little Halloween sentiment that comes with the stamp kit for some extra embellishment. Thank you so much for stopping by, and I hope that my card inspires you to try out your own creations with these Fantastic stamps!

Boo Crew

Hello Craftin Desert Diva's Fans! Today I want to share with you a planner spread and planner shaker dashboard I made using our New Boo Crew Bundle!

For my planner spread, shaker dashboard and planner clips I used the following CDD Goodies:

Boo Crew Svg Stamp Outline
New Fall Harvest Sequins

To create my shaker dashboard first I took a sheet of the Doodlebug paper pad included in the bundle and trimmed it down to fit my personal planner. I then used the largest of the crazy stitched frame dies to add the stitching around my dashboard. I then cut off a 1/2" strip on the left side and saved it to be able to punch the holes, but still have it match up perfectly with the rest of the shaker. Next I used some of the Doodlebug washi tape from the Boo Crew Bundle to trim the top and the bottom of my dashboard. After that I used my fuse tool and created a 1/2" pocket for the small strip. Next I placed the rest of the matching paper inside the second pocket I created and filled it with some of the new Fall Harvest Sequins, and then finished sealing my shaker dashboard with the fuse tool. After that I used a hole punch over the 1/2" decorative strip of paper so that it would fit perfectly inside my planner. Next I cut the svg outlines for the Boo Crew stamps from plain white 110 lb. card stock and then stamped the images onto them. After that I colored in all of the images with Copic markers, and then used my sticker maker machine to attach them to the front of my dashboard.

Next for the planner clips I used the bow die from the Shaker Tag Dies and the skull from the Boo Crew set to create the sweet bow. Then for the mini shaker clip I used the Mini Shaker Clip Dies, Doodlebug paper from the Boo Crew Bundle, the little witch stamp from the new Boo Crew stamp set, and the new Fall Harvest Sequins. Lastly the little Ghost and Pumpkin clips are from the new Boo Crew Bundle in which each bundle will randomly receive either a ghost or a pumpkin.

Next to create my planner spread I used many of the contents from the new Boo Crew Bundle. First I cut out the little haunted house from the Doodlebug paper pad and attached it to my planner. I then used the Doodlebug washi tape from the bundle to accent the top and bottom of my planner pages. After that I added the Cute little trick or treaters from the Boo Crew Bundle stamp set all along the bottom of my planner spread to create my scene. I cut them out using the svg outlines just like I did on my shaker dashboard. To finish I added little flags to accent certain days using the mini shaker tag dies and cut them from the Doodlebug paper.

Make sure you set your alarms for 11 am EST on 9/19 because our Boo Crew Bundles will be added to the shop and they are very limited in quantities. Once they sell out they will not be restocked. Also make sure you follow our Sept.
